ICDC Surrey needs volunteers and trustees to support your committee
We are a patient support group.
Our aim is to promote the health and wellbeing of patients in Surrey with an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) by:
· Offering support for all patients in Surrey with ICDs, their partners and families
· Discussing our concerns and sharing experiences
· Providing information and education relevant to ICD patients; including driving, medication, ICD technology, insurance, exercise and travel
Over the past ten years a dedicated team of volunteers and St Peter’s Hospital staff have developed the group. In order to carry on and develop our activities and to expand to all Surrey hospitals, we do need more volunteers on our committee.
We are looking for interested individuals to help drive our vision forward and to help us in the following areas:
Social media networking
Social and education event planning
Committee meetings are held every 6 months in the Chertsey area. We communicate between meetings via e-mail or phone, approximately 3-4 hours a month.
For an informal discussion, please contact Judi Linney.
If you know someone who can help, please pass this on.
